Christmas Carols with Guitar chords:

Scores and MIDI files sequenced and/or arranged by J. R. Jennings

The scores of these familiar, public-domain Christmas carols are arranged for four voice parts and include guitar chords. The selections are specifically arranged to be satisfactory when accompanied by guitar, piano, or guitar and piano together and played in a more-or-less Bluegrass style. Do not expect that the harmonizations will necessarily be optimal for a keyboard-only performance. For a list of song titles and the keys, click here for a text file, here for a PDF file, or here for an MS-Word 6.0 file.

The notation for the scores was prepared using NoteWorthy Composer (NWC). Software to read them can be downloaded free of charge from noteworthysoftware.com/). Nevertheless, in order to facilitate reading the files, MIDI and PDF files have also been made available for download.

Cautionary note about MS-Word 6.0 files: what you see is not what you get. Hopefully, they will print with the chord letters in more or less proper alignment, but expect the words and chords to be offset to varying extents on the screen display. If you change the file to make the chord letters line up properly on the screen, they will then be misaligned on the printed copy. Furthermore, the "Print Preview" is not an accurate guide to what will actually be printed. The margins are not part of the format. Most of these files are optimized for half-inch margins, but for best results the user may need to adjust some of them, depending on the printer. The large-print PDF files were prepared from MS-Word 6.0 files, but should print properly.
